What 75mm Focal Length?

The 75mm Macro Mobile Lens is created by Moment to get closer to your subject, without losing a good composition in your mobile photography.

The lens is designed for mobile devices and offers a longer focal length compared to traditional macro lenses. The 75mm focal length gives a unique perspective by letting photographers capture detailed close-up shots from a comfortable distance. It's especially great for photographing subjects that are difficult to approach closely, like insects or delicate objects, and helps in adding more background context to macro shots.

Keep in mind that this is a macro lens, which means that the focus on this lens is only 70-100mm. If you try to take a photo of your subject any further away than that, it's going to be blurry.

The 75mm vs. Macro 10x Lens

If you’re choosing between the Moment 10x Macro and the 75mm Macro, here’s the difference. The 10x Macro is made for extreme close-ups. You can shoot tiny textures and details from just an inch away, which makes it perfect for abstract shots or things like leaf veins and fabric.

The 75mm Macro lets you shoot from farther back while still getting that crisp macro look. It’s easier to use with subjects that move or are sensitive to being too close. It also has 25% more glass than the 10x, so your images come out sharper with less vignetting. Go with the 10x if you want ultra-close detail. Go with the 75mm if you want more space and a cleaner image.

How To Install

To get started, you'll need a Moment T-Series phone case with a drop-in lens mount (sold separately). Snap the case on your phone, twist the lens onto the main camera, and you're good to go. We recommend using the Moment Pro Camera app for the best results because manual controls really make this lens shine. If your iPhone has built-in macro mode, turn it off in settings so it doesn’t interfere with the lens.

Compatibility

The 75mm Macro Lens is part of our T-Series, built for newer phones like the iPhone 15 and up. It works best with these models, but you can still use it with other phones using our universal mount, just know your results might vary.

How to Clean and Store Your 75mm Macro Lens

The 75mm Macro comes with a lens cap and padded pouch — use them! When you're not shooting, pop the cap back on and stash the lens in the pouch to keep dust and smudges (especially on the back element) off. If it does get dirty, just wipe it gently with a microfiber cloth.

Like any camera lens, it’s tough but not unbreakable. Store it in a padded spot when you’re on the move, and keep it on a shelf or in a case at home.

Now that you’ve got the hang of it, get out there and shoot. And don’t forget to tag us; we’d love to see what you’re making.
