To Know:

This lens is a full-frame fisheye because it allows you to use the full image sensor on the latest camera phones with no dark corners or vignetting. This means you get a crisp image edge to edge, using 15% more of the image sensor than Moment’s 1st generation Fisheye 15mm. This lens is also sharper than ultra-wide, particularly on the edges. This is due to the additional elements of bi-aspheric glass, a newly optimized optical design, and the fact that the lens mounts over the built-in wide lens, letting in 25% more light on top of a higher-resolution camera. Best of all, it works in Night mode when an ultra-wide lens does not. This is undoubtedly the widest and sharpest lens you can shoot on the phone.

What We Love:

1. The Widest It Gets

The look of the lens is super vast, with a 170-degree field of view, producing a 30% wider image than the 120 degrees you will find on ultra-wide phone lenses.

2. Night Mode Is Better

Because you cannot use the ultra-wide lens on the iPhone's Night Mode, you can mount the FIsheye 14mm over the native wide lens in Night Mode for a sharp, impossible image.

3. Tack Sharp

Due to the full framed sensor, this means you’ll get a crisp image edge to edge using 15% more of the image sensor than the Fisheye 15mm.

What Is a Fisheye Lens?

The Fisheye 14mm lens is your key to capturing the world in its expansive glory. It allows you to dive into the heart of the action yet still encapsulate the entire scene in one frame. Whether you're shooting up-close subjects, capturing the cozy ambiance of compact interiors, or immortalizing grand architectural masterpieces, the Fisheye lens is a cherished tool for photographers and filmmakers seeking that mesmerizing, larger-than-life visual impact.

But the Fisheye 14mm is more than just a lens—it's a gateway to superior imagery. Even compared to the ultra-wide lenses found on the latest smartphones, the Fisheye 14mm consistently delivers images that are not only wider but also significantly higher in quality. This is particularly true when you're shooting in Night mode, where the Fisheye 14mm truly shines, bringing out the magic in the darkest of scenes.

Wider (& Sharper) Than An Ultra Wide Lens

Our Fisheye has 50 degrees more field of view than the built-in ultra-wide on the iPhone lenses. That’s 30% wider or 1.3x more images. Secondarily this lens has multiple aspherical elements inside, maximizing every corner of the image sensor in the latest camera phones. Lastly, the lens works over the built-in wide lens on the phone, a higher-quality camera. You end up with a larger image that is more detailed than the built-in ultra-wide lens.

This lens delivers a full-frame fisheye look, similar to what you’d expect on a large or action camera. Naturally, the edges are slightly curved like a classic fisheye, or you can shoot with our Pro Camera App and flatten the image to remove the curvature as much as you’d like. Whether shooting photos or videos, this lens should be in your kit.

Better In Night Mode Than An Ultrawide

The ultra-wide lens on the latest iPhone models is a bit finicky and often distorted-looking. The Moment Fisheye 14mm is CLEAN. That is because the lens sits over the built-in wide, which works in Night mode. Now you can get those crispy, super wide neon shots.

Amazing On Three Lens Phones

The new Fisheye 14mm has been designed specifically for the latest camera phones, including three-lens phones. Our M-series interface will mount on top of the Tele or Wide lenses on the phone to deliver a superwide image that is 100% crisp edge to edge for phones older than 2022. In contrast, our T-Series phones are made for the new generation of camera phones newer than 2022. Crafted from an aerospace-grade metal, Moment ensures each lens smoothly rotates in and out of the Moment Cases.

In Detail

This lens shoots like a full-frame Fisheye with a multi-element, aspherical glass design. Designed for multi-lens phones, there was much time spent making sure the lens was crisp edge to edge and had no black corners or vignetting. Our lenses are hand assembled and rely on the same quality of glass you would find in cinema lenses.

We took the classic bending from a traditional fisheye, then worked tooth and nail to make the image clean all through with no black corners or edges. It maintains the bubbly look you expect from a fisheye, with an image that is 100% crisp edge to edge on the latest and greatest mobile devices.
