Variable ND Filters

True-to-life image with consistent exposure control.

What gives the Moment VND it’s consistent look

Pro Cinema Glass
We use precision-aligned Schott B270 glass to preserve clarity, contrast, and true color — giving you a clean image, even at wide apertures.

Dual Glass Alignment
Two layers of glass rotate in perfect sync to cut light evenly without introducing vignetting, color shift, or weird polarization artifacts.

Laser Etched Stop Markings
Visible from behind the lens, our angled stop markings let you dial in the exact strength you need — no guessing, even mid-shot.

Hard Stop Engineering
Built-in mechanical stops at both ends of the range eliminate cross-polarization and give you reliable exposure control every time.

The Engineering difference
We over engineered all the details: a fixed stop range to eliminate cross-polarization, ND positions machined at precise angles, tactile detents you can feel, and flared edges that make stop markings easier to see, even from behind the lens. After a decade of building precision mobile lenses, we brought that same standard to a full-size VND you can trust on any shoot.

Viewfinder Visible Stops
Laser-etched markings are angled so you can see your ND level while looking through the viewfinder or phone screen — a design detail only Moment offers.

Works With Your Gear
The Moment Variable ND is compatible with standard threaded camera lenses and works seamlessly with center-pinch lens caps you already own. The 67mm version also pairs perfectly with our 67mm Filter Mount, so you can use it on your phone and take mobile video to the next level.
Which Version is Right For me?

6-9 Stop
- Great for shooting in super bright conditions.
- Sunny beach days or bright snowy days on the slopes.
- If you want to shoot at a higher aperture like f/1.4.
- Great for long exposure photos in the daytime.
- If your camera has a high base ISO

2-5 Stop
- Works well in standard conditions – cloudy, partly sunny, sunrise/sunset.
- Great for shooting slow motion when you have to turn your shutter speed up.
- Shoot with this one when there is less light available – in shade or indoors.
- Perfect for everyday videography, vlogging, and YouTube style content.

How to pick the correct filter size?
The filter thread size is actually different than the lens focal length. Usually, the filter thread size for your lens is printed on the front of the outer ring where your lens cap attaches, it'll look like øxx where xx is the filter size in millimeters.
