This has opened up a whole new world of photography with my iPhone 17 ProMax. Really impressed with the detail that this lens reveals - especially when I mount it on the 4x tele and use the moment pro app. Now instead of 12MP close-up photos taken with the phone’s ultra-wide lens, I have 48MP photos with plenty of room to crop.

The depth of field makes it a little tricky to work with, and the diffuser hood makes storage a bit of a gamble. My advice on what front is to at least get a spare one and start looking into lens storage options beyond the little drawstring bag it comes with. Also, expect to wrestle with the lens cap from time to time; the lens is very short and the cap makes too good of a seal.

Sounds obvious, but these are things that may slip past you until you find yourself struggling with your phone's shadow before the outcome of two and two reaches the forefront of your thoughts. Just be sure you've got options for illumination. A pen light is adequate in a pinch, a ringlight could work if you position it properly, and an RGB panel could work well enough for backlighting.

I’m not a fan of this lens as I can’t relate taking photos closer to my subject, however it takes good macro I just can’t stand being too close that the hood is touching the subject.

I am disappointed with using the macro lens in conjunction with the Pixel4a 5G as I feel the magnification is too powerful and the camera is virtually touching the subject - also extremely difficult to handhold a decent shot due to movement of the subject and camera - would not buy it again

I was excited to get to lens . I thought it had a little more range than expected . I was have gotten this lens last . I wish i have picked up the wide lens it would have been so much more useful . Though i think i took some decent pictures . I dont think macro lens are for me . Its sharp but not something i see myself using very often . If i could exchange i would . Thanks moment .

I’ve bought an off brand previously that didn’t give me results I wanted. I had my doubts about the Moment Macro but thought I’d give it a try. So happy I did! This little lens is a dream.
