Universal Lens Mount - T-Series I

Sale price$40.00 USD

Configuration: T-Series

The Moment T-Series Universal Lens Mount lets you easily attach any T-Series I lens to your camera phone with an additional cold shoe mount to create a lightweight film rig. Loosen to adjust, tighten down to start shooting.

Made of a machined unibody of aluminum this mount uses a thumbscrew to securely attach to a variety of camera phones. Just slide it on, line up the lens, tighten the screw, and you’re ready to start shooting. It uses soft foam contact points wherever it touches the phone to provide grip and avoid scratching the device. It also has dual lens mounts to give you the flexibility to mount from the side or top of your device.

Not compatible with T-Series II lenses

Love the universal mount!

The mount greatly enhances functionality for devices without dedicated cases. I only wish that Moment still had the universal mount for the M-Series. It's perfect for using T-Series Moment lenses on my tablet, offering a significant photography advantage. Great purchase, highly recommended for any photography enthusiast.

Difficult

Super difficult to actually get it to stay mounted properly on the phone. I only got it bc the attachment on my moment case broke , so I couldn’t use the lenses I have. I don’t think this solves the issue, but it’s sturdy, so I’ll give 2 stars

Hello Ana, we're sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing with the mounting process. The Universal lens mount is really a back-up solution. Szabi - Gear Guide

Needs minor update.

I think the lens mount could work great for my iPhone 16 Pro Max and all of my M-Series lenses if there was a minor adjustment made to the mount. Where the lens locks into the mount, it’s too thick where I’d have to really wrench on my lenses’. It barely twist into the lock because of this and I don’t want to deform the metal on either the mount or lens. I get that it needs to fit tight and stay that way over time but I feel a minor adjustment of this can make it to where the two pieces can lock into each other without difficulty. Otherwise, works and fits perfect for my phone lenses.

Hello Shawn! Thank you for your detailed feedback. We appreciate your suggestions for improvement! The M-series Universal lens mount has been discontinued. Szabi - Gear Guide

Hear me out…

Google pixel 6 pro & 6a It’s great for what it does. It’s just not perfect. So it’s gonna take some adjusting from my experience. For me, I was able to use this with the anamorphic 1. 55x lens on the wide & ex. wide lens. It worked with the black magic and protake camera apps. Its not perfect but it works

Not for pixel 6

Doesn't fit for my device

Hi Yaraslau! Thanks for your feedback! The universal lens mount is designed as a backup solution, but it might not be compatible with all devices.

Not perfect for iPhone 16 Pro Max

While this adapter should be very useful on other phone models, I can't get it to fit firmly enough on my iPhone 16 Pro Max - it moves easily even when I press it firmly against the screen. On the other hand, I don't know if the lens mount make the right distance from the lens mounted and the phone: the 1. 55 anamorphic lens produces a slight vignette.

Does the job, but I wish there was a better option.

Obviously it’s going to be a bit more difficult for a perfect fit with something universal. I wish there was an in-between method ie “universal iPhone Pro mount” - I typically have non-removable bumpers on my phone so I can’t put a full case on. Nevertheless it does its job as described. It does move around though, maybe I’m too nervous to tighten it all the way. And it does need to be “broken in” - the bayonet mount was super tight at first.

Great Mount

It's definitely a well made mount. You can tell by the sturdiness and the weight

Ugh

Does not work well with the iPhone 14 Pro. And the return doesn’t come close to a full refund. Disappointing.

Hey Mary! Thanks for the feedback! The Universal Lens Mount is more of a backup solution, and we usually recommend using a Moment Case with the drop-in lens mount for the best experience! Szabi - Gear Guide

Blury footage, the clips can move easily

We're using Moment lenses, especially fisheye lenses for about 4 years now. I use them with iPhone cases and my friend with Android devices. Now it happened, that my friend bought a new Android device, for which Moment don't have a lens case, so he bought this universal lens mount. We were shooting videos all day, then at the end of the day we noticed that the videos became more and more blury because this universal lens mount accidentally moved just a little bit, and it was not in center with the built in lens. It's challenging to make the centering... and for fisheye we have to zoom in a little bit because black corners are coming in - that we don't have with iPhone cases with the same Moment fisheye.

Hello Balázs! Thank you for sharing your experience with our universal lens mount. It’s true that the universal lens mount is designed as a backup solution for devices that don’t have a dedicated lens case. While it can work well in many situations, it can sometimes be challenging to maintain perfect centering throughout extended use, which can result in issues like the one you and your friend experienced. Pretty good

Works as intended, fits android and apple devices. The only problem I encountered was using this clamp with a phone case. It's recommended to clamp it to the phone without the case on for best results, since the lens will be closer to the phone's camera. Overall, great quality.

Nice Universal Mount!

This universal mount is a great way to use lenses without a proprietary case. It's a little tricky to get perfectly lined up, but that's to be expected. Also, be careful with tightening if you have glass screen protectors!

The mount covers the flicker sensor on Pixel 7

The mount does its job. There is, however, a problem that on my Pixel 7 it covers both the laser detect auto focus sensor and the spectral&flicker sensor. The absence of the auto focus is a lesser problem, but without a flicker sensor the camera becomes more dependent from lighting conditions. You cannot longer shoot with flickering light emitted by gas-discharge lamps or cheap LED lamps. I suppose it's a price you have to pay for an universal mounting system, but it's a something to keep in mind.

Moment engineers did an excellent work though. The mount itself, it's design and materials give an impression of a really high quality product.

Works but could be better designed

This works, and the build quality is excellent, but it could be far better designed. I've tried it on iPhones, Pixel, and Samsung phones (plus some tablets) and I would change a few things for the next version:

1. Make it smaller. If we're using this clip-on lens mount rather than a dedicated stick-on mount or case, we don't need it to be the most secure thing in the world; it just has to keep the lens flat against the camera. Make the mounting arm narrower so we can see where we're aligning it.
2. Get rid of the screw clamp to make it quicker to put on and off, and adjust. Aligning the mount over the lens is already challenging enough without having to screw/unscrew it to find the right position. Just use a spring clamp.
3. Position the clamp behind the middle section of the mounting arm, or make it adjustable depending on the lens being used. As it's designed right now, the clamp is behind only the first mounting hole, so when you want to use the mount further in and it's sitting on a camera bump it can be impossible to get a secure-feeling attachment.

As of right now I would not recommend this product unless you absolutely need it; the stick-on mounts or dedicated cases work far better (if they're available).
