Rugged Camera Sling

I've been on the hunt for the best portable camera bag for the past ten years. I've honestly purchased at least several thousand dollars worth of camera packs. This Rugged Camera Sling by Moment is the first time I've worn a sling bag that I felt like I didn't have to battle with when on an outdoor shoot.

I'm pretty skeptical with sling bags in terms of comfort since I'm usually outdoors and travel a lot. Most sling bags are purely for traveling around the city but the padding on the back of this bag conforms to your body.

I purchased the larger 10L sling. The interior is padded well and I was able to fit my Mamiya m645 with a 50mm lens, my a6600 with a 16mm lens, my Lav mics, several film rolls, and my filter pack. It's incredibly sneaky how much stuff you can actually shove into this thing.

The exterior is also made of rugged material and seems pretty durable against the elements. Another important element that is necessary to me is having a way of carrying my tripod to my sling. The bag has two magnetic slaps that wrap around the bottom to carry a good sized travel tripod.

It's been less than a month but I'm comfortable enough to say that I think I've found the travel sling bag that I've been looking for the past decade. My only gripe is that I wish they had made this earlier!

Was looking for a compact sling to help minimize the gear load and as a lens changer bag. Was turned on to the 6L Rugged Camera Sling and it has been ideal for my use case. For typically carrying a Canon R7 and a Tamron 100-400mm w/converter along with a short zoom or macro lens in a neoprene case, spare battery, and SD card all just fits. Probably could have gone with the 10L but the compactness of the 6L won out. Access, comfort, build, protection, and flexibility are great. Looks like these are going away but happy I got one when I could.

I was looking for something more rigid/box-like in nature to hold my Pokemon cards when on the go (that isn't a backpack). Some of the annoying aspects of other bags are how flat they become and having to constantly use one hand to push the wall of the bag back as you're looking for something. This bag made it easy to quickly find anything. I would say I wish the zipper was perhaps bigger/wider and opened with more ease. I took the bag to an anime convention was constantly opening and closing it, so would've appreciated faster in/out times. However, if I was a photographer, I imagine these specs are fine as I wouldn't want anyone to easily get into the bag. MOLLE straps on the outside would be nice to add a small water bottle, I have to keep the water bottle inside and hope it doesn't leak.

The bag is great, plenty of room for your gear and can be adjusted to your liking.

I wanted to buy the 10L version, but it was out of stock. The 6L version worked for me at the end, it’s just perfect size.

I have had the camera bag for approximately two weeks. I have used the bag sparingly, so my review is more of an impression. First, I think the main strap will be good for short-term use only, as it is only lightly padded. I have tried the bag with light loads, and, well, I can feel the strap digging into my shoulder. The cross-body strap is great, and I like the magnetic closure. The interior of the bag is well laid out with good-quality dividers. I am not sure how useful the front storage pocket will be, as it is pretty basic. The exterior material does not look durable, and I hope it holds up well. The zippers seem to be of decent quality, though I wish the pulls were larger. Overall, I would say this bag is of slightly lower quality than my other bags.

It’s a solid bag with well thought out features. It fits my Sony a7iv with a Tamron 50-400mm lens with room to keep a nifty 50 or other small prime lens.

I had high hopes that this bag might fit my 150-600 zoom lens and body but it doesn't. Regardless, this is going to be my go-to street photography bag for my smaller cameras/lens combos. The quest continues for a sling that will work for my birding set up.

Nicely made bag. Perfect size. But, for my body shape, it is very uncomfortable to wear. The bag doesn't sit flat on back, just the edge which is uncomfortable. The sling strap is also very wide and pokes me in the neck.

Don't get me wrong -- it's a fantastic bag, just doesn't fit my body type.

Perfect fit for my R10 and a 100-400 lens with adapter. Great for when I want to travel light while also packing the big glass.

Purchased on sale for a trip where I’d be carrying an A7C, two prime lenses and a GoPro. Solidly built, handy compartments. Very satisfied.

Everything about this bag speaks to quality. Don’t brush it off because of the price, you’re getting a lot for what you pay for. The size is really well considered and the materials are super high quality.

Awesome bag!

This bag is just the right size for me to carry my Fujifilm X-T4 along with 3 of the ”fujicron” primes and a small flash. Excellent run and gun kit for events. Unfortunately this bag has a flaw that completely ruins it for me. Most bags, like from Peak Design or Wandrd, offset the strap attachment points vertically on the bag towards the top. This bag does not. They’re dead center. This causes the bag to lean away from your body when it’s on your back and it applies a lot of pressure along where the bottom edge of the bag contacts your back. For me this is incredibly uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so.

This bag would be perfect if the strap connected with the bag just a few inches higher so that the whole thing balanced better and it could use all of its padding to spread weight more evenly.

Nice bag to carry photo gear while shooting on the street and weddings. Got a good deal on the price. Very happy with this slig bag.

Great bag. Materials are fantastic, the back panel bending is a welcome relief on the back.

Honestly, I love to leave very critical essay-length reviews finding faults with almost any product, and I fail to find much fault with this one.

Could it be better? Of course. But the criticisms I have are so minor, they're really not worth mentioning. Suffice it to say that I returned the much inferior and overhyped Peak Design bag in favor of this one. If Moment matches the quality of materials of Peak Design, I would gladly pay twice the price too. But unlike the PD Sling, the design of this sling actually makes sense for an EDC camera bag.

Before purchasing this bag, I carefully read all the reviews available. Most of the negative reviews mentioned issues with its ergonomics, but I shrugged them off, assuming it wouldn't affect me. However, after receiving the bag, I have to admit that the reviews were spot on. The bag is poorly designed, with the sling attached near the middle of the bag. When carrying heavy items, the bag tilts down and uncomfortably digs into the body. Comparing it to sling bags from Peak and Wandrd, which have the sling attached at the top and thus avoid this problem, makes the flaws even more evident. Therefore, I strongly advise potential buyers to reconsider purchasing this bag, especially if they are outside the US and have to deal with expensive shipping costs.

Love the quality of materials and it’s put together very well. I wish that the strap pad was centered and the strap itself longer so I could wear it on one shoulder as well as a sling. That’s it! Would recommend/would buy again!

The short strap strap is too short, I added 8" to it and it works fine. Otherwise it would be jammed into my arm pit. The build is very good.

Highly recommended! I researched several popular brands and finally decided on 6L Moment sling. I’m thoroughly pleased with the quality build and innovative design. I was looking for a compact and minimal bag to carry just my macro imaging kit - body, one lens, extenders, mini-tripod, compact carbon fiber tripod, ring light, focus rail, etc., - comfortably and quickly accessible for trips to the local botanical gardens. The Moment sling fit the bill! It now hangs ready to go on my home office door, a quick grab and go.

I will probably purchase a second bag in the next year to set up with a dedicated landscape kit for my frequent hikes in local land preserves.

Needed a 10L sling and this was perfect for my needs. Not too big and not too small. Fits my mirrorless with kit lens and 2 extra lenses.

This is the best color Bag! Way better then the black. Compartments all over the bag needs to be more roomey. In general, my biggest complaint about most bags, especially camera bags, is that they have so many little pockets everywhere, but you can barely fit anything in there. All the compartments are so tight. The bag overall is a small cube with little to no give. Even with a camera and a few small item’s, it’s busting at the seams. As simple solution by most bag makers is ‘expanding’ pocket folds.
On the topic of seams, the zipper makes two hard turns on the too of this cube and it’s awkward to get around these near 90 degree taped turn. I will be amazed if the seams will last on these corners after a couple hundred openings

Look, fit, and hardware are near perfect. If the bag only had more give you could actually use all the sq footage.

Lastly, the exterior needs more attachment points, maybe a molle like panel or simply a handful of evenly placed nylon loops. So I can hang an InReach, lace-in an elastic cord for a raincoat, and more secure bottom straps for a water bottle.

I've only had this bag for a week or two and I'm loving it. The strap is comfortable. The magnetic latches are so convenient. Easily my favorite 10L bag.
