Cold Shoe MagSafe mount

The magnet is very strong and great quality of material. The grip stays where it needs to be. The device overall is high quality.
The only issue is the finger-tight nut that sinches the pieces together comes loose if there is lots of tilting of the phone. Mainly due to the balance of the circle magnet. Not a big deal, just beware of the situation.

I love this little thing

Great for my rode mic and my aperture light. I have them pre-mounted in my bag and can just snap them right on when needed.

Truck mount for IPhone.

Excellent solution using a Ram or
67 Designs ball mount. The Magnet is high quality, strong and holds my phone securely. I used a washer on the Camera ball as the 1/4x20 threads were slightly long. Very pleased.

Good, but could be better

Ingenious little device! Very solid connection to the phone. The the thumb screw that tightens the hotshoe could be better. It’s the weak point. The grommet inside is plastic and never really gets tight, leaving the hotshoe able to move. I bought this on sale and it was worth the price.

Ingenious little device! Very solid connection to the phone. The the thumb screw that tightens the hotshoe could be better. It’s the weak point. The grommet inside is plastic and never really gets tight, leaving the hotshoe able to move. I bought this on sale and it was worth the price.

Design Flaw

Worked great for a hand full of uses. Because there is a little play in the rotation around the 1/4” mounting screw, and the rubber spacer around the cutout on the cold shoe is easily disrupted, we get a result that is shown in the photo attached. I believe I’m outside of my return window, but I would recommend changing this for future designs or at least offer rubber replacements or something. Unfortunately this will begin to leave scratch marks on the rear of your device after some time :(
