Anamorphic 1.55x Mobile Lens (T-Series)
I’m pleased with the initial results of this lens. The final image is so wide you’re getting a (small) panorama with every shot. Keep the subject in the center of the frame for the best results. So far, I’ve shot mostly landscapes and portraits; I have yet to capture any of the signature blue flair this lens is designed for. Having a low, fixed f-stop on an iPhone doesn’t do you any favors in this department. This is a fairly big T-slot lens; it noticeably changes how your phone handles. I’ve been shooting with the default Apple Camera app and using a simple Shortcut workflow to desqueeze images in Photos. Easy.
Hey Dan! Thanks for the rating! One thing to keep in mind is that it only appears when a direct light source is hitting the front element of the lens. The effect is most noticeable when you're shooting toward the sun (especially around sunrise or sunset) or with another bright light source, like car headlights or streetlights, shining into the lens.
I’ve been using the Moment lenses since 2014 with the original Wide lens, and till they shifted to M-series, minus the 1.33x Gold flare anamorphic, I got almost all of them in my collection and been using them since. When Moment first introduced the 1.33x anamorphic lens through Kickstarter in 2018, I did not know if I would love the way how photos/video will be taken and it was an interesting take to my liking especially with the sci fi blue flare in the photos.
Fast forward today, with the new 1.55x anamorphic lens being introduced, I tho it would bring me the “nothing too different than the previous one” feeling when I tested out the 1.55x. Attached on my 5 year old iPhone XS Max, the itself is sharper with minimum distortion on both sides, shots had gotten wider than the iPhone recognize the shot as Panorama photo with 14MP captured with no visible of vignetting. The cinematic feels much immersive compared to the 1.33x that I’m pretty sure viewing on big screen at home will be such a wonderful experience.
I can’t speak quality on the iPhone 14 or 14 Pro as I do not have them to try on but I hope the lenses will perform just fine if not better on the upcoming iPhone and beyond. I really hate to see myself giving up using these lenses especially on my hiking or travels.
Can’t wait to shoot more with it and create more MOMENTS.

I’m just a grandma who loves playing with my iPhone camera. All of my moment lenses help me take wonderful photos of my grandchildren.
Really love the images this produces but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right because it's really difficult to focus for some reason and everything is pretty out of focus compared to the footage I've seen with this on the YouTube channel, and it's with the main camera too since I know from history with other anamorphic adapters/lenses they don't work as well on the longer focal lengths (as much as I love and prefer the look of telephoto anamorphic). But otherwise no issues with build quality and glass quality it's extremely solid and well built.

This is my first attempt with using any kind of lens for my phone camera. I have been an avid photographer over the years but slowly life got in the way and carrying around a heavy camera bag became less logical to me. The anamorphic lens along with the moment's phone camera app makes taking pictures an making videos a breeze and the results are astonishing. I love the flares (even with my Canon camera, I used to try my best to get some flaring effects when taking shots) and the lens makes it very easy to get some very nice cinematic shots. I can't wait for the upcoming family trips this summer to the beach to make some videos and take a lot of pictures. Thank you Moment.
Effortlessly cinematic with a vast horizontal scope and large anamorphic black bars. Works effortlessly even with the Blackmagic Camera App. Premium optics that enhance the pure sensor of the iPhone or just about any smartphone. Wish I could use it more for modern capability, but I’ll definitely find a way to make it work.
This stuff is just too cool; with closeout pricing, that much better. For some fun, try shooting with the lens mounted 90 degrees off.

For me it's that strong cinematic look: 2. 76:1 CinemaScope aspect ratio with real black bars and pronounced horizontal flares, very close to “proper” cinema lenses. Good optics for phones: modern 1. 55x lenses are sharp edge‑to‑edge with decent coatings and minimal color issues when aligned correctly. Great for planned shoots: perfect for narrative scenes, music videos, landscapes, night city shots, anything where you want the frame to feel big and intentional.
I recorded an entire project using a 1. 55x anamorphic mobile lens with my iPhone 16 Pro, and the results were surprisingly cinematic. This Moment Anamorphic lens is honestly a game-changer for phone videos - you get those cool horizontal lens flares and widescreen vibes that make everything look way more cinematic. I had previously bought the blue flare though the gold one seems a bit more natural for certain shots. Really a big fan of these anamorphic lenses.

Really like the effect — the image looks stylish and cinematic. But there’s noticeable vignetting on the sides, which is a bit disappointing.

I have a Google pixel 6 pro and a Google pixel 6a. I use a T series universal mount. The lens is amazing, especially when you use a phone case mount, but the universal mount is still pretty good, just not as good. Recap: Lens = amazing Lens + phone case mount = perfect Lens + universal mount = not perfect but great
This lens gives my footage such a cinematic quality to it. I am hoping to take my YouTube videos to the next level with these. I can’t wait to post the results for my audience!

This is a cool lens. I am new to the world of video and there is definitely a learning curve to using this lens. I have experimented with some videos with pretty good results and tried it as a photo lens. The video worked well but I had a little problem with the de-squeeze with the photos. I shot in jpeg which I understood would allow the moment camera app to automatically apply the de-squeeze when it saved the image. Not sure what I did wrong but it didn’t work. The images have a very fisheye appearance which is a neat effect. Overall, I am happy with this lens but will have to spend some more time figuring it out.

After trying out a friend's 1. 33x blue lens, I was impressed and decided to purchase the 1. 55x blue lens and phone case for my upcoming trip. Unfortunately, the website didn't clearly indicate that the case was specific to certain models, so the one I received was incompatible. I returned the order and opted for a similar lens from another brand. While it's been performing well, I wasted valuable time aligning the lens – time that could've been spent capturing amazing photos and videos This revised version maintains your original message while improving clarity, grammar, and sentence structure.

We do mention the need for a specific case for our lenses, and unfortunately, cases are not cross-compatible across different phone models. The lens itself is great and creates wonderful shots, however the pixel 8 pro case (possibly others) has a serious design flaw. The act of screwing in the lens causes friction on the material and after only a week of very occasional usage (maybe 10 times) the material that the lens touches has worn away, such that it's gone from too tight to so loose the lens rotates freely and I'm worried it's going to fall out! There should really be a metal contact ring for longevity. On another point if you're using android then the black magic app is free and very functional. It should be the recommended app for android.

I got the 1. 55x Anamorphic Mobile Lens - Gold Flare | M-Series with a faulty screw but got all the support needed to make it work.
