Fast & Light Slate 4L Camera Sling (Getting Started Guide)
Fast & Light Slate 4L Camera Sling
Hey, I’m Desy — back with a good look at Moment’s new Fast & Light Camera Bag Collection, the Slate 4L Camera Sling.
Think of the 4L Sling as the smaller sibling to the 7L, just with a leaner footprint but similar structure. You’re getting a compact shell with smart organization that's perfect when you want a light, nimble carry that still keeps the essentials sorted on the trails.
Note: This is a sample unit, so a few details may change before launch; I’ll call those out where it matters in the video (linked above).
Let’s get into it.

Main Compartment
Unzip the main compartment and you’ll see why 4 liters hits the sweet spot for a ton of creators. It opens wide enough to see everything at a glance without turning the sling into a suitcase.
Against the back wall there’s a slide pocket that hugs the body side. That’s your spot for a phone, small Kindle, field notebook, or anything you want flat, protected, and easy to grab. If you’re moving fast — bike commute, airport sprint — parking your phone here cuts down on bounce and keeps it from printing awkwardly through the fabric.
This is a great spot to just clip your keys to the built-in key clip, and forget about them late. I like to dock the fob, then tuck it into one of the interior mesh sleeves so it doesn’t jingle when I’m filming or needing to move quietly on a set.
Along the interior you’ll find stretch mesh pocketing that hold extra batteries, AirPods, a cable pouch, or a compact film canister — but can remain pretty flexible when your loadout changes. The mesh is intentionally see-through so the small black things (looking at you, SD cards) don’t get lost.
Up front, inside the same cavity, are padded slide pockets. You can easily store sunglasses without a hard case, a point-and-shoot, a tiny mic, or an external SSD here. The padding keeps edges from knocking around when you set the bag down, which is crucial when I don't have extra padding or pouches on hand.

Exterior Storage & Access
On the outside, both ends feature mesh pockets sized for short water bottles or small grab-items. They also take a mini pump, a compact gimbal handle, or a rolled bandana. The mesh grips really nicely onto items, just give the item a little downward press so the pocket lip seats over it.
Up front, there’s a mesh zip pocket for the things you want fast but a little more secure, like a metro card, lens cloth, lip balm, or a snack. And, again, because it’s mesh, you can identify what’s inside right away.
Underneath, the bottom bungee system can reconfigure the sling when you need a bit more capacity outside. Slide in a mini tripod, a light windbreaker, or a travel towel; snug the cord and it stays pinned. This is clutch on day hikes or city days that swing from chilly morning to warm afternoon.

Back Compartment
Flip the sling and you’ll find a hidden zip pocket on the back panel. It sits flat against your body, making it the safest place for a passport, wallet, spare cash, or an AirTag.
On travel days, I keep passport + boarding pass here until I hit the security line, then I move the pass to the front for quick scans while the passport stays tucked and invisible.

Extras & Details
You get a detachable 3-point stabilizer strap in the kit for when you need extra lock-down (trail runs, bike rides, or loooong staircases). Once you clip it in, you’ll notice the sling stops shifting on the body entirely.
Note: this sample I used in the bide features a daisy-chain attachment; production is moving to a single loop attachment (same as the 2L Sling) to make clipping faster and cleaner.
Inside, the salmon pink/orange lining carries over from the rest of the bag line. It's a vibe color, but more importantly, makes black gear pop visually so you can spot the exact cable or card you need in two seconds instead of ten.
