Travel across the rugged landscapes of Iceland with 3 expert photography guides.
South Iceland is often called the most magical region of the country -- and for good reason.
This expansive side of Iceland offers incredible diversity, from endless lava fields to volcanos, to plunging sea cliffs, to countless waterfalls. Here, you'll find unique beauty, unlike any other place on Planet Earth.
On this 6-day adventure, three expert guides (John Wingfield, Eamon Bonner, and Willam Murphy), will lead you to iconic locations on the south coast, and even venture into the alien planet-like Highlands, weather permitting. Over the course of your journey, your guides will also teach you photography skills, ranging from beginner to advanced. All skill levels are welcome on this trip.
Starting near the capital in the west, you'll travel along the coast, southbound to the charming seaside town of Borgarbraut. You'll visit the iconic Skogafoss waterfall (any Game of Thrones fans?), Dyrholaey, Reykjanes, Hekla volcano, and more unbelievable southern spots. If the weather permits, you'll venture into the Highlands to see Þórsmörk's winding riverbeds.
The trip will consist of a combination of drive-up locations and short hikes. Icelandic terrain can be rough, so you should be able to do moderate exercise.
Most of the day will be spent picking people up from the airport and safely transporting them back to the accommodations in Vik.
