What we'll do

Switzerland, the mountainous paradise of Europe! This incredible country welcomes you like no other, with a nearly endless selection of outside activities. From low-lying crystalline lakes, vineyards, historic castles, high peaks, waterfalls and the greenest pastures you’ve ever seen to an incredibly high quality network of bike lanes, gravel paths and singletrack.

We’ll be discovering the Canton (region) of Vaud, which lies a bit lower than neighboring regions and presents views on surrounding mountains. They’re a real treat at sunset. Forests are abundant in the Alpes Vaudoises, with pastures covered in flowers and views on snowy peaks through June and hints of fall foliage with balmy, colorful evenings through September. The shoulder season months also have an especially pleasant range of mild temperatures due to the elevation, which is perfect to ride bikes.

Because of its location within the Central European Alps, Switzerland has about the most impressive mountain peaks of the broader range, with medieval-looking villages and farm settlements scattered all over them. The many farm tracks, forest paths and well-paved roads provide a limitless playground for us to ride around, with mountain passes in

abundance. And even though that might sound imposing, cycling here is an absolute breeze thanks to excellent Swiss infrastructure, and your e-bike of course! We’ll be with you every pedal stroke to guide you up the gradients, teach you how to pack smartly, understand the planning of a journey by bike and to enjoy all the high vistas and cozy accommodation we reach together.

Our six-day guided trip will leave you captivated by the possibilities of adventure cycling— while learning all the ins and outs of it in the process. You’ll be showed the beauty of the Canton of Vaud and will discover what it’s like to do so on your own strength, assisted by your battery powered e-mountainbike, to take home an experience that will undoubtedly convince you to explore more of the world on two wheels!

    Where we're going

Montreux - The alluring resort town by Lac Léman (Lake Geneva), and a fantastic place to start and finish our journey. It’s nestled between steep hills and the blue waters of the lake, holding a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to sit on the boulevard for hours, taking in the views, sip a coffee in one of the many fine cafes, or salute Freddy’s statue at the shore. It’ll be our testing ground to get used to your e-mtb, and resting ground after we’ve completed the loop.

Bretaye Plateau - Our second night together will be spent on this high plateau, that boasts multiple little lakes, crazy good views an exquisite hotel called Hotel du Lac that we’ll call home. Staying here provides us with the possibility to hike up a crest nearby the hotel, to stretch our legs and take in a spectacular view of Mount Tour de Mayen at sunset.

Col de Jaman - Part of the Hope1000 bike race, an increasingly popular 1000km-long ultra endurance event that takes place in June, is the Col de Jaman—a mountain pass at 1500 meters altitude. The way up is a challenging one, but you’ll have traversed the final pass of this inspiring race, worth an award in itself. Following the way down, we’ll have plenty views of Montreux from above, smoothly descending into the city.

Prafandaz - Whilst we rest our legs at Hôtel de Grand Chalet in Leysin, we’ll show you a nearby viewing point that’s one of the nicest places for sunset in the entire Canton of Vaud. For those who have a bit more juice left in their batteries, this is a lovely place to practice landscape photography as well as relax, unwind and take a deep breath of Swiss mountain air.

Château D’Aigle - We’ll be passing by this one on our way, and being a Swiss heritage site of national significance, it’s not to be missed out on. This castle is surrounded by the picturesque vineyards of Aigle and is often used as a romantic wedding venue.
