What we'll do

Northern Alaska is known as being the best place in the world to view the Aurora Borealis. Miles away from civilization, we'll explore some of the most remote regions of the state in search of the Northern Lights.You'll be hosted by two expert photography guides who will teach you everything they know about capturing the Aurora on camera. This includes guidance on the best equipment to use, editing tutorials, and everything in between.Your itinerary will be packed with incredible experiences, such as soaking in remote hot springs near the arctic circle, spending the night at a cozy wilderness lodge equipped with a restaurant kitchen and gourmet chef, exploring ice caves hidden deep in the mountains, and so much more.

    Day 1: Arrival in Fairbanks

    • Summary

      Pick up guests from the airport, go to the hotel in Fairbanks, get lunch in Fairbanks then head out to explore the area. Eat dinner at a local restaurant and head back to hotel. Optional Aurora viewing for those interested.

    Day 2: Ice Caves & Auroras

    • Summary

      We’ll start the day off early getting breakfast in Fairbanks. After breakfast, we will get lunches for later and travel to the Black Rapids Lodge. After the guests get settled into their rooms we will eat lunch and then make our way to the Castner Ice Caves. After this, we will come back to the lodge for dinner, and then more aurora viewing in the area around the lodge. Guests will have the option of using a wood-fired sauna.

    Day 3: Hot Springs & Dog Sled Rides

    • Summary

      We will have breakfast at the Lodge and make our way north to Chena Hot Springs Resort. We’ll stop for lunch in Fairbanks along the way, and arrive at the hot springs in the afternoon. Guests will have the opportunity to soak in the geothermal pools, go on dog sled rides, tour an ice hotel and drink martinis at the ice bar, and more.

    Day 4: Departure from Fairbanks

    • Summary

      We’ll wake up early and travel back to Fairbanks. Once arriving in Fairbanks we will grab a late breakfast, and transfer people to the airport as necessary. For guests flying out in the afternoon or evening, we will provide lunch and dinner.
