What we'll do

The Faroe Islands, a chain of 18 unspoiled and unexplored archipelago islands adrift in the North Atlantic Sea, are a different world — a place like no other on earth. Here, you'll experience an idyllic, peaceful yet adventurous escape: unfathomable beauty among lush green valleys, towering basalt cliffs, colorful charming towns, unique wildlife such as puffins, highland cows, and more sheep than you could imagine, and waterfalls plunging directly into the teal blue ocean.

From insane hikes that appear to be the end of the world, and remote villages isolated on the edge of fjords- this place is unlike anywhere. Can you believe that some villages are inhabited by less than ten people, and require a ferry just to get there? And just wait til you see the quirky colors and grass roof houses around every corner- admittedly a photographer's dream. We will spend all of our time together, building everlasting friendships and deepening our creative knowledge in a place that will quickly become your favorite. Much of our time will be spent with locals, experiencing cultural tradition through locally sourced Faroese home-cooked meals, traditional nordic folk tales and what this place means to the people of the Faroe Islands.

Although you could pretty much stand anywhere and point your camera in any direction for a unique photo- prepare yourself for the spots you won’t know how to find. Less traveled and off the beaten path- we will show you the hidden gems of the Faroe Islands and how to take the most otherworldly photos.

So let’s do this. Let’s experience a place most only dream of.

We’ll have an early wake up call to get to Saksun by sunrise. Saksun is a tranquil, remote hillside village of only 14 inhabitants; with a gorgeous white church on the shores of a peaceful lake beneath the lush green cliffs. Some of this village is off limits to tourists — however, we have some personal experience learning these things and are excited to educate everyone on respecting rules and regulations while still being able to capture stunning photos. You’ll head towards Fossa Waterfall, the tallest in the Faroe Islands, to practice capturing water movement with long exposure shots. Enjoy your picnic lunch alongside the waterfall before heading off for a sunset hike to Sørvágsvatn. This is where we'll see a freshwater lake sitting high on a cliff above the ocean beneath — one of our favorite things to see in Faroe!
