Una Simone Profile

As a child, Una sat in the lobby of an once when she saw Steve McCurry’s “Afghan Girl” looking out at her from National Geographic’s 100 Best Photo issue. Since first seeing that photograph, she has been immersed and intrigued by the world of photography, and in the ways in which we can create beauty from beauty.

Una picked up her first camera, a vintage Olympus 35mm camera passed down from her mom, when she was twelve years old and has hardly put the camera down since. She has traveled across the country to study historical processes and large format photography, and landed in the fast paced fashion photo industry of New York City. Four years later, Una has developed a balance with her love for lm and the ease and intrigue of mobile photography where she tries to match the ow of the world she finds herself in as a producer while maintaining creative curiosity.
