THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS
In 2005, Hille started as an infantry soldier at
the 11th Air Manoeuvre Brigade, 11th infantry
During his deployment in Afghanistan in 2007,
his team drove over an IED. There were fortunately no fatalities, but he and one of his
buddies suffered injuries. After his deployment
and rehabilitation, Hille found his passion for
photography and became one of the photographers for the brigade.
With his pictures, he tries to show the world
and the home front what it feels like to be a
soldier. Hille’s work helps to not only protect
his country, but also show the world the sacrifices of brave men and women who are
protecting their country and loved ones.
