DIRECTIONS

Recommended tools We recommend the following tools in order to ensure that the 3D part sits flush against the phone. A lens requires near perfect optical alignment so these tools will help you make the part you print as perfect as possible.

+ X – ACTO Knife

+ Straight Edge Knife

+ Small Fine Grit File

+ Sandpaper Scraps

Application Directions 1. If you didn’t already, purchase an iPhone 4/4s mounting plate here. 2. Follow the confirmation email you received and download the appropriate file for your device. These files were originally designed to use with a Makerbot Replicator 2 3. Load the .STL file onto the 3D printer using the Standard settings with Raft and Support enabled. 4. Print part. 5. Remove support material using sand paper, sharp knife, and/or a small fine grit file. 6. Smooth out the surfaces that will be touching the phone as well as the surface where the iPhone 4/4s plate will be adhered. 7. Remove any loose dust to ensure the mounting plate will adhere properly. 8. Remove backing on mount plate adhesive and attach to the 3D print. 9. Squeeze the 3D print to help adhesive bond well to the 3D print. 10. Using a sharp x-acto blade (or equivalent), remove excess adhesive through cutout of 3D print, otherwise it will not sit properly on your phone. 11. Attach 3D print to phone. 12. When using the mounting plate remember to hold the side of the 3D print when rotating the lens into place.

* It is a 3D print, so it’s not perfect, so you may need to adjust slightly the alignment of the 3D print to make sure the interface is aligned as much as possible
